Once a year, Dar-us-Sakina invites the entire Houston Muslim community to come out and learn about our cause. By sharing our perspective and the Islamic basis for inclusion, we educate and motivate attendees to make positive change. Keep your eye on our calendar to learn more about upcoming events!
Youth Inclusion Training
In order to increase sensitivity and instill civic responsibility in our youth, we offer inclusion training for weekend and full-time Islamic school classrooms. We take children through the basics of terminology, relate inclusion with our Sunnah, and discuss real life scenarios. Character building is not complete without discussing empathy as it relates to those with differing abilities, and we are here to assist with that process.
