Support Groups
Our Power Moms, Power Dads, and Power Sibs support groups provide a supportive network for special needs caregivers to learn from and lean on one another. Participants take comfort from connecting with others in the same boat.
Caregiver Training
Dar-us-Sakina provides caregivers with monthly opportunities to check their special needs dependent into respite care to attend professional training. From mental health workshops to seminars on parent advocacy, our training is aimed at caregiver empowerment.
Family Events
A few times a year, our team goes all out in putting on the most accessible and accommodating events for our community’s special needs families, full of joy and connection. Safe, sensory-friendly activities and a crew of caring volunteers allow families the rare opportunity to relax and make lasting friendships and memories.
Zakat Program
For special needs families in crisis, we are committed to providing comprehensive support through our Zakat Fund. Our team works tirelessly to connect affected families with the right resources to get them back on their feet, including emergency respite care, counseling, necessary evaluations, advocacy and durable medical equipment.
